Sussex Sixes
Each July we run a six-a-side Tournament in Uckfield as a major fund raising event. What began in 1991 as a day long event catering for three age groups has since developed into a weekend event with football competition for 8 age groups from Under 8’s up to and including Under 15’s.
A maximum number of 96 teams take part with around 800 youngsters participating. Every member of the under 8’s and 9’s teams receives a commemorative medal of the tournament, the older age groups have a winners and runners-up trophy and all teams are invited to have their photo taken with each member and manager receiving a complementary copy. Safety is the golden rule of any organised football tournament and we will have in attendance for the whole tournament The Red Cross - although our record of injuries is excellent no chances are taken.
