Grasshoppers Welcome Tonbridge Invicta September 25, 2008

The Seasons first league fixtures took place last weekend with Tonbridge Invicta visiting the u10’s for the first time, with the opposition being very much an unknown entity both teams started very well in fact they both managed to score with in the first minute of the game much to the delight of the home supporters. The Hornets ended up with the final score 16-0 and the Wasp Finished the game 9-0 the following two games both resulted with Uckfield wins 2-0 and 4-0 respectively. Although the score line reflects our dominance the Invicta players never gave up and played to the best of their ability, the Grasshoppers goals came from Jack King 7 Jack Tebbutt 5 James Fiest 3 Timmy Brisley 3 and Leon Wolvey 2, with notable performances from Harry Harden for the Hornets, Harry wins the M.O.M Award for a selfless performance in both Midfield and Defence much to the delight of his manager Dean, With Sam Rogers taking the M.O.M for the Wasps after putting in a great shift in the heart of the midfield and some great finishing from 6 inches ! The boy is deadly from that distance.
