Posted by editor in : Uncategorized , trackbackI wasn’t actually at this match, so I can’t report other than as I’ve heard from various sources. It sounds as though the game was very similar to the last game between the two teams, except this time we held our nerve, finished our chances and defended better.
As in the last game we went 1-0 up, conceded an equalizer, went 2-1 up and then conceded another equalizer. As before their main threat came through their pacey and skillful striker who scored all four against us last time and got both this time. Again as in the last game, we went 3-2 and then 4-2 up, but this time we didn’t let them back in and closed the game out.
I don’t have the complete scorers, but I’m told Connor got three, which earned him the MoM award. I wasn’t there to assess the CRAP award, but I’ll give it Oskar just to annoy him.
Everyone I spoke to said what a terrific performance this was, especially as we were missing a few players on holiday and I’m really sorry I wasn’t there to see it and be able to write about it here. If one of the other parents would care to add something to this post, then I’m sure everyone would enjoy reading a first hand report.
