In the absence of Gordon and Mark, Steve Imber looked after the team, ably assisted by Kevin, Roger and Des.  Thanks to all.  Steve prepared the following match report.

The game started in a lively fashion with both Ryan and Tom asked to press forward to support nip and sam t which worked a peach and allowed ben and jake to feed off the attack all the time…we missed an absolute hatfull of chances early on but eventually the pressure paid off and we were 2 up in twenty five minutes
craig and Jp managed the centre of the pitch with craig playing the forward side of midfield and jp the holding player, needless to say jp held the ball, released craig who in turn distributed the ball to the wings….we were hungry and it showed…3-0 at half time and in charge..

sammy d came on at right back for tom, scott in for jake and craig went up front in place of ben and Harry filled craigs midfield position. started 2nd half a bit nervy but the back 4 were superb, Skelly and sammy notably the tallest and ‘ardest players on the pitch with loads of crunching tackles….
Josh had probably his most commanding game in goal and confidence was evident, 2 or 3 superb diving saves and on 1 free kick seemed to cover the entire goal post to post in mid air and still made the ball look 5 yards wide..drop kicks were reaching the oppo’s 18 yard box and setting the forwards free countless times, laying ball back to scott who finished well with a drilled shot…jake back on for a 2nd spell relaxed and played well, turned well in a crowded box to drill a shot at the keeper who helped it enroute into the net…
JP decided to let callum go up and took his place in defence (not my choice i hasten to add) and consequently callum was taken off just after jp put through into his own net,,, a first i believe..scott also took a great chancing header from a corner to wrap thigs up…we could have had 10 or more but we were caught by the offside trap needlessly too many times..
just to see the smiles and confidence on the whole team was great..
goals, 2 for Ben, 2 for scott lacon, 1 each for craig and jake
