Another good win yesterday.  I thought the team did extremely well on a horrible pitch.  We never really looked in any trouble and we could have scored any number.  

 

Man of the Match was Matt Skelton for an excellent defensive display, including the taking of the full force of the ball into his crown jewels when it was propelled at speed into them.  The look on the other team’s faces when Matt just stood up as though nothing had happened was the look of a well beaten team.  Matt- either you’re very hard, or you need to wear boxers.  

 

Everyone played well, but particular honourable mentions to Craig, who worked really hard in midfield and who set up countless chances for others, and Callum who missed nothing in defence and also then moved into midfield and did well.  Goals for Craig, Nip, Ben and Sam T.  

 

CRAP award goes to Ben this week, for a string of misses that even the

Man

City strikers would have been proud of.  To see the care and precision which he put into those misses was truly to see a master at work.  Ben beats out strong competition from Chris “Offside” Kelly and some rather idiosyncratic behaviour from the goalkeeper, whose new hairstyle attracted much comment.  Ben you need to sort out boot cleaning with Matt.  

 

Anyway- well done to you all.  We really are making ourselves very difficult to beat and playing some excellent football with a great team spirit.  We have conceded fewer goals than any other team in the league and scored the second most. Let’s keep it going.
