Posted by editor in : Uncategorized , add a commentBy beating us, Crawley Devils went top of the league, so on paper perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised at the result. But considering we totally outplayed them for two thirds of the game, you could well understand the disappointment of everyone after the match.

With three wins in the last four games, 13 goals scored and 4 conceded, we have developed a winning habit, together with the individual and collective confidence which comes with winning. Crawley Panthers finished third in this league last year, but with a very similar squad this year, for whatever reason they have struggled much as we have.

Posted by editor in : Uncategorized , add a commentThis group of players never ceases to amaze me said Gordon Buckland manager after what can only be described as a completely disjointed unadventurous and lack luster performance last week this weeks performance was very committed ,honest, skilful and above all else played with passion. The Uckfield team only had a bare eleven and was soon down to ten in the second half (45th minute) when Ryan Gothard came off with a foot injury, of those missing three are regular starters but those coming in were determined to make it difficult for them to return automatically.

We have been threatening to put someone to the sword for a while and it finally all came together on Sunday against St Hill Blues. We played as a team and overcame decent opponents in difficult conditions, with a mixture of skill and commitment which has been rarely seen this year.

Posted by editor in : Uncategorized , add a commentThis was the rematch of our first game of the season, when we didn’t exactly fire on all cylinders. Haywards Heath have had some disciplinary problems this season, and it was easy to see why. Some of the behaviour on show was choice and the use of Berstein’s Restrictive Code much in evidence.
