Team Update
All, just want to give an update on where we are after 10 (and a half!) games at 11 a side, hopefully you’ve all dried out after saturday!

Initially the teams were split into seven leagues based on expected ability and geographic location. These leagues were not competitive and were setup to get the boys used to 11 a side and determine which teams should be in which league for the competitive leagues in the second half of the season.

For the initial "West Division" league we finished in third place and would only have got second (on goal difference) if we’d won 13-0 against Jarvis Brook ‘B’. As the new league starts on the 15th December the fixture will not now be re-arranged.

Competitive League
For the rest of this season we’re in the ‘C’ League, we did question the league secretary on this as, we’ve had some good performances and even the games we’ve lost we could (and in some cases should) have got something from.

For the rest of the season we’ll have home and away games against the following teams;

Broad Oak & Horam Thunder
Polegate Grasshoppers
Roselands Junior
Rotherfield Junior
Sevenoaks Town Rovers

Although a lot of teams are pretty close at this age group across the divisions, we think we have every chance of winning this league come the end of April, so work hard, win that trophy and more importantly get promoted to that ‘B’ League, where we should have been in the first place!

From the first game on the 15th the coaches "Man of The Match" will be team captain for the following game, anyone in the squad can achieve this, but will have to be very consistent to keep it.

Scheduled fixtures and results are listed under the "Fixtures" tab on ths web site.

Training
Weather permitting we’ll continue to train on wednesday nights, effort and application in these sessions will determine who makes the match squad, so maximum effort please boys. Thanks to the profits Cheryl and Sam have made doing the refreshments at West Park we’ve just bought some new training gear to liven things up, test the boys, add some interest and hopefully make it more enjoyable.
